HGDC Community Crisis Center was founded in 1981 by Elder Adeen Lewis George who saw a need  for a way to provide sensible solutions to those in need in Wayne County. 

The Center has continued to grow thanks to the helping hands of this amazing community! 

HGDC Community Crisis Center is a State and Federally registered, non-profit 501 (c)

The H.G.D.C. Community Crisis Center is a non-profit charitable organization which provides crisis or intervention services to assist individuals to meet their basic human needs and provide opportunities for persons to become self-sufficient.

We have an amazing team of regular staffers along with part time volunteers who are commited to helping others. 

These include an Intake Assessment Specialist, Counselors, and Food Service Workers who help us turn our convictions into actions.
