Founder, visionary, and soul of the HGDC Community Crisis Center. Elder George's unwavering belief that no one in Wayne County should go without food, shelter, or hope gave birth to an institution that has served thousands of lives over four decades. Her legacy lives on in every meal served and every life restored.
HGDC Community Crisis Center began as a vision to serve the most vulnerable members of Goldsboro's community. Over four decades, that vision has grown into a comprehensive network of crisis services touching thousands of lives.
