HGDC Community Crisis Center

Since 1981, HGDC has been a beacon of hope for Wayne County — meeting people where they are and walking alongside them toward stability.

Founded by Elder Adeen Lewis George, HGDC Community Crisis Center began as a vision to serve the most vulnerable members of Goldsboro's community. Over four decades, that vision has grown into a comprehensive network of crisis services touching thousands of lives.

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization operating on the belief that every person deserves dignity, safety, and the opportunity to thrive. Our programs address immediate needs while creating pathways to lasting self-sufficiency.
